New York is facing extraordinary housing insecurity as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting recession. Immediate intervention that supports a full economic recovery for New York is necessary to avert a homelessness catastrophe that will harm hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers, perpetuate economic and racial injustice, and stifle economic recovery.
