BREAKING: A unanimous court ruling forces the Adams admin to begin implementing long-overdue CityFHEPS reforms—championed by @NYCCouncil, @LegalAidNYC, Win and other advocates. This is a huge win for housing justice & the families we serve.
CityFHEPS is a proven solution. The Council’s reforms will: remove shelter stay requirements, raise income limits, end work requirements, & limit unfair utility deductions. Together, these reforms will help families stabilize and move from shelter to stability.
This is a major step forward and a clear rebuke of the Mayor’s harmful plan to raise rent costs for low-income families. Vouchers work. Housing saves lives. We won’t stop until every New Yorker has a safe, stable home. Read our full statement:

Thank you @RepJeffries for your steadfast leadership in protecting America’s social safety net. Your effort ensures families can continue to access the vital support they need to survive—and thrive.
Yesterday, Win and the Homes Can’t Wait Coalition rallied at City Hall, urging @NYCCouncil to push back on harmful CityFHEPS changes. Huge thanks to @Tiffany_Caban and all Council Members fighting to expand—not restrict—access for New Yorkers experiencing homelessness.
